Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park

Freisinger Warmbluts(FWB): From our equestrian facility located in the scenic Mormon Coulee it is about 1200 miles west to our favorite retreat: the Grand Tetons and Greater Yellowstone Wilderness. This area is also home to two other Trakehner breeders and the location of Spring Creek Equestrian Center. One of those breeders, Dick Barker (a very good guitar player and excellent singer), we count ourselves fortunate to have as a freind. It is here in this magnificent scenery and wilderness that Pete exercises two of his artistic passions: wildlife and scenic photography.

A State Where Horses Out-number People

At Freisinger Warmbluts we are known for wonder lust also. Horses are a natural in the Tetons, with the majesty of the peaks and literally 100's of miles of trails.

The Pfeiffer Homestead Barn

"Our Main Barn" actually found on Mormon Row, Teton National Park

This place is where you can still find the Old West. Although much of it may not last long. This barn would have fallen into decay had it not been for the efforts of the family that had owned it. Finally, the Federal Government has seen the light and decided to repair these historic places in Teton National Park go the way of the dinosaur. The Pfeiffer Homestead, the 1st of theses two images, fell victim to a range fire that was let get out of hand by stupidity, that cost the taxpayer a lot more then it should have to put out because of delay by the first unit to respond. Fire cost this picturesque and historic site, a favorite of many photographers and chipmunks. The fire also almost consumed the Teton Science School and other private properties. But still, in this beautiful, majestic place, one can again become one with nature and the wild history of this country.
