is a grey International Sport Horse of Color(Trakehner) stallion with fantastic
temperament, great movement, and powerful hindquarters that he stamps his

sire. His grand dam on both sides, on the mare's side is the famous Donaulied
vom Schimmelhof. His name translates to Cashmire.Kaschmir, Approved SHOC, is a very tightly
bred son ofDonaufürst.
Donaufürst, showing FEI in dressage and intermediate in 3 day eventing, has won numerous championships and reserves
in performance and breed classes. He is the only stallion
in the history of the breed to have three sons approved
in one year; all were bred by Gunter Bertelmann, the breeder
of Kaschmir. He is also the only breeder in the
history of the breed to accomplish this.
Kaschmir's dam's - Karavella III - two prior get were both
Grand Champion Mares in Germany, one twice and she was reserve the
year her half sister won. He is her only offspring in the North
America. Karavella III's Sire, Donauwind is the sire of Abdullah, the
Olympic and Pan Am games Gold Medalist.

Kaschmir's first get - Mendlessohn - has just started his training, this very athletic horse was being broke to ride - bare back and is now under saddle. He has been ridden bare back in the herd with just a halter - a compliment to Kaschmir's temperament which he passes on. Kaschmir's foals, to date, will all be taller than their dams. He has thrown 4 chestnuts out of chestnut mares, 2 bays out of bays, a paint out of a paint, and an appaloosa out of an appaloosa, and a gray out of a gray. One of the chestnuts may gray. How potent is Kashmir? His semen has a phenominal 90% plus motility with enough semen in one collection to inseminate 30 to 60 mares depending if using fresh, or frozen or extended cooled! How many live sperm is that: an estimated count of 40 billion plus in 55 cc's of volume. And that was his first collection of 1998; it gets better as he breeds!
